Plan Purpose & Background
The purpose of this site-specific safety and accident prevention plan is to provide accident and injury prevention guidance to project management, superintendent, general contractor and subcontractor personal. This site-specific safety and accident plan is being prepared by William Beckford, an experienced safety / Industrial Hygiene Professional. References utilized in the preparation of this site-specific safety plan include the Army Corps of Engineers Safety Manuel EM 385-1-1, and OSHA29CFRParts 1926 Construction, and 1910 General Industry.
This site-specific safety and accident prevention plan encompasses all demolition. Compliance with this safety plan may not, by itself, prevent accidents, injuries, illness or diseases, but substantially aid in providing a safe and healthful working environment, which is a fundamental prerequisite in controlling accidents and injuries.
Job Safety Analysis
An activity hazard analysis and hazard assessment of the construction tasking was preformed in order to identify potential hazards. The specific hazards associated with each construction operation or project phase will be listed with the corresponding accident and injury prevention procedures, recommendations, and required safety actions. An accident prevention plan that includes, safe operating procedures, and task specific safety information applicable to project specific construction tasking are enclosed. The project construction manager and safety professional will make changes, modifications, and/or additions to the activity hazard analysis and accident prevention plan as may be required during the process of construction operations.
